Meal planning has always been a challenge for me. I’m one of those people who go to the fridge at 6pm and make something from what we have. This week I am trying out a plan.
Thanks to my Clean Eating magazine I was armed with a tear out list. The recipes are in the magazine and you just grab the pre-done list and there you go! Thanks again Ma for the subscription, it has served me well.
We awoke bright and early this am so we could do a family shop. I am NOT a morning person, but Mikey is good at trying to change that. We love grocery shopping together, since we have always done this we are trying to keep it going post baby. I do escape solo once in awhile to just grab a few things. ๐
Some recipes I will try this week~
Broiled Flank Steak~with quick Kimchi
Coconut Chicken~with pineapple/strawberry salsa
Summer Vegetable Curry~with Coriander Kefir and flatbread
Chick pea Tacos~with Garden Salad
The last one is an old standby, but worth keeping in the rotation.
I loved how the list was grouped into sections, very helpful!
I hear the baby awake from her nap, gotta go!

I do a loose meal plan every week and it REALLY helps. I make a list on the weekend, go to the store and write the meals I plan to make on a list on my fridge. That way I make sure everything gets made and no ingredients go to waste! It really helps a lot.

I hope I can get in the habit of this. Seems way better.

You will have to tell me how it goes. I do the same thing sort of and that way I don’t have to go to the store daily. Looking forward to the pictures. I am seriously concidering getting me a subscription of that mag.

Hi Jill,
I found your blog looking for the Broiled Flank Steak on the internet (in typed format) I made it tonight and will be posting my review tomorrow. Delicious! I will be curious to hear what you think of it ๐
Re: meal planning, I plan every week with a “prep” day on Sunday. I chop veggies, spin/bag salad, portion out snacks….It’s helped keep me in line with my diet as well as my busy lifestyle.

Yes, I must plan ahead. Sunday is a good day to prep food.
