And it opened up my eyes…

We went for a lovely Father’s Day walk yesterday in Los Gatos. There were tons of Father’s out riding their bikes with their kiddies. It was very cute to see.

We stopped on a bench for a snack/diaper/photo break.

What fueled our walk you ask?

Eggs, with ham and cheese. πŸ™‚

Tutti-frutti smoothies topped with yogurt and raspberries.

Gnocci with tomato sauce topped with mizithra cheese.

A Verrine. Layered yogurt, granola and berries…the picture of summer.

Back to our walk…

Every Sunday they have Music in the Park. All the Los Gatos peeps come out with their wine and lawn chairs and hang out whilst enjoying live music. We heard a couple tunes after our walk. One, Elton John tune, sounded eerily like my FIL’s impression of Katherine Hepburn. It made us laugh.

The moon was out.

We walked for about 2 hours. I was a bit sore ( to say the least) from my run the day before. It was nice to get the blood flowing to my legs. A very relaxing walk.

Today I sent Mikey off to work with some yummy turkey bagels…

Then we put on a pretty dress…

And went to lunch at Whole Foods with our friend Chelsea.

We had Elaine style big salads and they were dee-lish.

It was great to meet such a cool chick through the blogosphere. So sad that she is moving to Idaho…maybe a future road trip? πŸ™‚
